STI was selected as the 2018 World
Class 300 Company. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry
of SMEs and Startups selected 41 companies as the World Class 300 Company and
awarded the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry selection letter on May 15th,
2018.
STI, headquartered in Daegu City, is a
specialized manufacturer of heating process equipment in various product fields.
In addition, it is a technology innovation company with more than 20
technologies registered and filed with patents such as liquid glass vaporizer
and optical fiber preform with improved production efficiency.
STI is currently conducting
environmental projects to reduce pollutant emissions through 'Alkali Hydrolysis
and Animal Carcass Processing Devices', electric furnace business for semiconductor
and firing ceramics and electric kiln business, focusing on the optical fiber preform
equipment with global No1 technology. The main business, optical fiber preform
equipment, has been exporting to China and India since 2009, starting with the
export of optical fiber preform equipment to China. Sales have grown 15 times
over the past three years and exports account for 98%. "We will strengthen
our world's number one position in optical fiber preform equipment, including
specialty optical fiber field, which is the core technology for the
commercialization of 5G from the selection of 2018 World Class 300 Company,"
